The Alliance backed Voting in Prison Bill Has 60+Committed “Yes” Votes

The Voting in Prisons bill (HB 1872/SB 828) has secured 60+ committed “Yes” votes in the house. Alliance member, Chicago Votes’s, tireless efforts in Springfield this last session resulted in enough committed “Yes” votes to pass the Voting in Prisons bill. Unfortunately, it was pulled from the floor at the last minute and is going to be brought up for a vote during the Fall veto session.
