Veto Session 2021

We were down in Springfield trying to get Parole Illinois’s SB2333/HB2399 and Chicago Votes’ SB828 passed during veto session. Unfortunately, we weren’t successful. SB2333/HB2399 remains in the rules committee and SB828 failed passage by only 3 votes and was postponed to be brought up again next session starting in January 2022. This fight continues. We will not stop until our brothers and sisters inside have hope to one day be reunited with their communities when we reinstate parole here in IL. And when our sisters and brothers also have their #BallotBoxPower restored. See you in January Springfield!
